Mercedes 500SEL

Mr D'arcys are offering for sale, this Mercedes Benz W126, 500SEL V8. This is the flagship 126 of the time, and was purchased as a special order in Dusseldorf, and imported to UK, and presented to Lord Stokes as a gift from his business partner.He was the head of British Leyland at the time, and had friendships with all the senior politicians of the time. It was ordered with KM/H speedometer, to facilitate Stokes who used it to drive to his Villa in Spain. It has the full spec, including Sunroof, and Climate Control, as well as every extra that was available in 1982. It is a splendid car, with low mileage, and is very striking in the Lapis Blue, with velour Galaxy interior. Everything is working as it should, but there is an issue with A/C which would need to be resolved. Lord Stokes kept the car for 30 years up until his death. It was then part of a collection in heated surroundings. It not the usual 500SEL needing work. It drives like a big luxury Merc should, and is ready for its new custodian.It comes with a respectable selection of history, but is not complete. These examples do not come around very often in this condition, and it deserves a new owner who will care for it as a part of history. It is fairly priced, and is ready to drive away.
